How Rush Limbaugh is Destroying the Republican Party

Rush, I think you've been doing too much Marinkidink Juice lately. What else could explain your aberrant behavior?

You continue to be the poster child for contentious politics, a way of governing that was soundly repudiated by American voters some time ago. Bush, Palin, Cheney ... the American public threw them out on their ears. Don't you remember?

Even before he took office you started scathing commentaries on Barack Obama, who inherited the worst fiscal mess since the Great Depression -- a mess caused by your heroes. Forget that, too?

Have you ever met a Democrat you didn't hate? No, wait ... I withdraw that, the answer is obvious.

What about Sonia Sotomayor? Despite that one stupid comment that some have interpreted as racist, her politics mimic those of retiring Justice Souter who was named to the bench by, let's see, George H. W. Bush, one of your dieties.

Perhaps you would lose your base of malcontent fanatics if you calmed down. Perhaps the press would ignore you. But, your strident tirades are thoroughly disgusting in an era where there are plenty of real problems to deal with ... like the economy, North Korea, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iraq, all of them inherited from Bush II. You do your country no favors by these rants. You contribute nothing.

Perhaps some day you will, but not now. And you're destroying the Republican Party in the process...
